Sampling Objective (e.g. Why you are sampling and what you hope to learn)

Students hypothesize that pollutants which trigger asthma are more prevalent in the urban setting (Newark) than rural (Blairstown). Are they right?

What parameters are you sampling for? (e.g. N02, CO, C02)

We will sample for O₃, NO₂, and particulates.

 

Describe the Method of Data Collection - (Include the frequency, duration and location of monitoring.)

Sampling will occur at the street and roof level in Newark, NJ.

 

Explain how you will establish background levels of sampling parameters.

Students will take measurements at a rural location, Blairstown.
