Sampling Objective (e.g. Why you are sampling and what you hope to learn)

Based upon meteorological data, pollutants should be higher on the windward side of the building. Is this the case?

What parameters are you sampling for? (e.g. N02, CO, C02)

We will sample for all types of pollutants, including: CO, CO2, SO2, NO2, and particulates.

Describe the Method of Data Collection - (Include the frequency, duration and location of monitoring.)

The ACCESS system will be set up at various locations throughout the building facing an open window.

Explain how you will establish background levels of sampling parameters.

Background levels will be measured by setting up the ACCESS system in the courtyard area at the West Side.

How will you teach scientific concepts?

Students used the ACCESS system to familiarize themselves with it. They then developed the sampling plan. Students were also advised about possible sources of error.
