Erie County Department of the Environment and Planning consists of a variety of programs which assist public institutions, local governments, business and the community develop an awareness and understanding of the interface between society and the environment. The Division of Environmental Compliance Services houses the County's Office of Pollution Prevention, a non-regulatory, technical assistance program which focuses on the protection of natural resources through performance beyond compliance with environmental regulations. The Office of Pollution Prevention assists business, industry, local government and citizens through public outreach and education, and collection/disposal opportunities. The Erie County Department of the Environment and Planning serves as the project coordinator for Buffalo, NY.

NOTE: The data collected by the ACCESS air monitoring system provides a good general indication of the air quality but does not collect data compliant with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements. See www.epa.gov for compliance requirements.
Data files are posted in chronological order. In order to create a report from a downloaded data file, you will need a copy of the ACCESS software from PAX Analytics. You can download Macinotosh software and/or PC software. The software is also available on CD for $10.00 plus shipping and handling, and includes software for both Macintosh and PC, user's manuals, and sample data files. To download software or to order by e-mail, click here.) Once you have the software, open a data file and then use the 'Analysis' menu to create graphs and reports.
