The Council on the Environment of New York City was formed in 1970 and is a privately funded citizens' organization in the Office of the Mayor. The Council promotes environmental awareness among New Yorkers and develops solutions to environmental problems. The Council's programs include Open Space Greening, Greenmarkets, Environmental Education Training Student Organizers Program, Waste Prevention and Recycling. The Environmental Council of New York City serves as the project coordinator for Brooklyn, NY.

What is ambient air quality like along a major commercial truck route?
NOTE: The data collected by the ACCESS air monitoring system provides a good general indication of the air quality but does not collect data compliant with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements. See www.epa.gov for compliance requirements.
Data files are posted in chronological order. In order to create a report from a downloaded data file, you will need a copy of the ACCESS software from PAX Analytics. You can download Macinotosh software and/or PC software. The software is also available on CD for $10.00 plus shipping and handling, and includes software for both Macintosh and PC, user's manuals, and sample data files. To download software or to order by e-mail, click here.) Once you have the software, open a data file and then use the 'Analysis' menu to create graphs and reports.
